I was born and brought up in Durban, South Africa, and have also lived and worked in both Cape Town and Johannesburg.

Following a family move to the UK in 2016, I now live and work in the beautiful Kent countryside, the aptly named "Garden of England".

I'm a largely self-taught artist albeit that I studied art at school. I followed my "maths brain" after school qualifying and working as a chemical engineer starting out in the oil refining industry. After completing an MBA, I ventured into the  field of equity research, and worked as an analyst in finance for 20 years.

The desire to draw and paint was never far away but two children, three country moves and nearly 30 years on, I finally took up my passion to draw five years ago.

I feel enormously blessed to have both a love of maths and a creative streak and to straddle these two worlds. I have found that they come together beautifully when drawing people's homes, painting gardens and botanicals and running my own small business.

In this way I hope to bring pleasure to my clients and to enjoy the benefits that drawing and painting bring to the soul.
